Technology helps your BC dentist to plan your Invisalign® treatment, and create aligners to fit your unique smile just right. Today we look at some of the technology our CCOA dentists use throughout your personalized Invisalign treatment.
Technology That Helps Our Dentists Plan Your Treatment
At your initial Invisalign consultation, your CCOA dentist will use the iTero intraoral scanner to take detailed 3D digital images of your teeth and the other internal structures of your mouth. iTero's 3D scans are so detailed that there is no need for traditional plaster molds that can be unpleasant and messy.
iTero's intraoral scanner takes 6000 images per second when scanning your teeth! These amazingly detailed scans give your dentist and the Invisalign technicians a high-resolution, interactive, image of your teeth and oral structures.
ClinCheck software gives your BC dentist the tools they need to create your customized treatment plan. Your unique plan will map out your Invisalign treatment from start to finish.
ClinCheck gives your dentist the ability to customize your orthodontic treatment each step of the way. This software is used to calculate just the right amount of force to facilitate each tooth movement, helping to ensure that every tooth will be moved in the correct order at exactly the right time.
Creating Your Clear Custom Aligners
Your iTero scans and personalized treatment plan will be sent to the Invisalign manufacturing facility where your custom aligners will be made so that they move your teeth gradually into their corrected positions. With Invisalign, every aligner is designed to shift only targeted teeth based on your treatment plan.
Comfort is an important factor when it comes to orthodontic treatment. Your aligners will be made with SmartTrack. SmartTrack has been designed to help give Invisalign clear aligners a low-profile, comfortable fit. This material also helps to make your aligners easy to remove and put back onto your teeth.
Your gumline is unique to your smile. Invisalign aligners are individually trimmed to help your aligners feel, fit, and look better.
